You know you're in for a treat when a new Michael Rosen book of poetry is out! And - as you would expect - this is a wonderfully exuberant collection to make you laugh, smile and think. I don't read enough poetry and 'Out of this World' really offered me moments of escape but also moments of entry into our world through Michael Rosen's witty and reflective observations. I particularly enjoyed 'A Day in the Life of a Cat' (which my daughter loved too) and 'Out of this World' is a poem that speaks to the experience of being young: wide-eyed and weird.

I cannot recommend this collection enough: a jump-in-and-out book that nourishes the imagination and the heart, brilliantly illustrated by the fabulous Ed Vere too.
